We made a strategic decision to create a datum at 8'-0" to create seamless and continuous wall around the unit. By doing so, we can detach the new element from the intricate condition of the existing ceiling. We also enjoy the new awkward relationship between the window and the furred-out wall. All electrical work will be integrated in the new wall.
