We developed a proposal to rejuvenate the decaying remnants of a shipyard into a contemporary park. The existing shipbuilding berth was extended to connect the sea to the nearby mountains. The Goliath gantry crane was re-purposed as an observation platform, towering above the park and interconnected with a web of pedestrian walkways. With the newly installed platform fostering its own ecosystem, nature will gradually overtake the industrial remains, ultimately giving rise to an unprecedented post-industrial ecology.
